Still, this year I enjoyed some excellent meals at older restaurants that I revisited or visited for the first time. Especially deserving of mention are the "Sweet Burger" at SweetArt, the ribs and the burger at the Piccadilly at Manhattan and everything, always, at Guido's Pizzeria & Tapas.
Finally, a posthumous nod to the bone-in strip steak at Jeff Ruby's Steakhouse. Quite simply the best steak I've ever had, this would have ranked very high in this year's top ten -- not the very top, but close. Sadly, the restaurant closed in November.
