Celebrate Burns Night at Scottish Arms, Schlafly Tap Room

| The great Scottish poet Robert Burns |
The Scottish Arms celebration begins at 7 p.m. Owner Ally Nesbit will read Burns' "Address to a Haggis" at 7:30, and live music, including songs by Burns, will begin at 8:30. In addition, there will be a tasting of five rare whiskies, paired with cheese, from 7:30-8:30.
The cost for the whisky tasting is $25, and reservations are recommended. However, you don't have to participate in the whisky tasting to enjoy the rest of the party.
The Schlafly Tap Room party gets underway at 5 p.m. The main event -- the presentation of both the haggis and Schlafly's Scotch Ale (a personal favorite brew of mine) -- is at 6. Live music follows beginning at 7.
