Bogart's Smokehouse Opens Today

​It might not be strong enough to overwhelm the beer brewing down on Pestalozzi, but there is a powerful whiff of woodsmoke emanating from Soulard today: Bogart's Smokehouse, the long-awaited sibling to Pappy's Smokehouse, is slated to open this morning at 1627 South 9th Street.

Bogart's features Pappy's vets Skip Steele (pitmaster) and Niki Puto (general manager). The menu offers the expected barbecue standards as well as prime rib, pastrami and other specialties.
