Valentine's Dinner Deal at Robust Wine Bar
The best Valentine's Day dinner deal we've found so far has to be the prix fixe tasting menu offered at Robust Wine Bar & Cafe.
Three courses, each with its own three-ounce wine pairing, for $55 per person. Better still, the Webster Groves wine bar will feature this deal all through Valentine's weekend -- Friday through Monday. It might be a good idea to make a reservation, which you can do by calling 314-963-0033 or visiting Robust's website.

Roasted asparagus salad with pancetta and a tarragon vinaigrette, paired with 2009 Hugl grüner veltliner from Austria

Baby carrot salad with mint, feta and cured ham with honey-mint dressing, paired with 2009 Chateau Marjosse sauvignon blanc/semillon from Bordeaux, France
Second Course
Crisped snapper with tomato chorizo broth and fingerling potatoes, paired with 2009 Hestia Cellars chenin blanc from Washington

seared beef tenderloin and short ribs with potato gratin, roasted carrots and mustard pan sauce, paired with 2006 Robust blend cabernet/syrah/petit verdot/merlot from Napa Valley
