Stella Blues Reopens in South City

​As mentioned in the January 2011 Openings and Closings post -- and first reported, I believe, by Joe Bonwich at the Post-Dispatch -- Stella Blues has reopened at 3269 Morgan Ford Road. The previous incarnation of the south city restaurant and bar opened in 2006 and closed in 2009. The new owners are Tim and Nikki Wheeler, who also own the Columbia, Illinois, bar Top Shooters.

The menu of the new Stella Blues is standard bar fare: wings, nachos and T-ravs among the appetizers; burgers, wraps and sandwiches; and the ubiquitous TJ's Pizza.

According to the restaurant's Facebook page, its hours are 11 a.m.-1:30 p.m. Monday, 11 a.m.-1:30 a.m. Tuesday through Saturday and 10 a.m.-midnight Sunday. Call 314-762-0144 for more info.
