The U Closes

The Midtown restaurant's final service was Saturday night. It opened in April 2008. When I reviewed the U that summer, I liked it, especially its take on a Reuben sandwich.
The space won't be vacant for very long, however. Joe Bonwich of the Post-Dispatch reports that a Southwestern-themed restaurant called Adobe Red's is slated to open there this spring.
