Organic herbal tea: It's the elixir of those who shine with all-natural health and goodness.

Unless it's tainted with salmonella, which makes people shiny from all that vomiting.

On Monday, March 7, Teavana's Atlanta headquarters issued a recall of 2,659 pounds of Teavana Peppermint Organic Herbal Tea produced by Aromatics Inc. in Washington. A batch sample tested positive for salmonella bacteria. The tea was sold in Teavana stores between December 4, 2010, and February 16, 2011, and via mail order and the Internet between November 30, 2010, and February 16, 2011.

Just how big is 2,659 pounds of tea?

Below is a photo of a good portion of a 3,000-pound marijuana bust. While it might be more relaxing than organic peppermint tea, it can also land you in prison for thirteen years if you get caught with it. It's also expensive, at least when the Drug Warlords are holding the calculator.

The seized pot was valued at $3 million in this particular case.

Teavana's Peppermint Organic Herbal Tea, on the other hand, retails for $2.15 per ounce. So the recall amounts to $91,470 worth. A bargain compared to pot.

Then again, it might send you running to the potty.
