Cinnabon Gives a Free Sugar Boost on Tax Day
Tax Day - even with a few buffer days because who in the world can turn in their taxes on a Friday? That's practically, almost the weekend! - is so stressful. Especially for people who've waited until the very last minute to file. To reward poor time management, mall-based Cinnabon stores are giving away two free Cinnabon Bites to every guest on Monday, April 18, 2011 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. in their Tax Day Bites! promotion.
While these aren't the face-sized 800-calorie cinna-bombs the company's known for, Kat Cole, president of Cinnabon, told Restaurantnews.com that it's their attempt to enable stress eating. "We know Cinnabon can be the ultimate indulgence for people -- especially during stressful times. That's why we want to reward people by topping this Tax Day with frosting. It's the perfect excuse to splurge on a sweet treat -- and it's free."
In case those two bites aren't enough to get you through, the company's running a sweepstakes through their Twitter account (@CinnabonInc). Between now and April 18, Tweet them about how stress-eating Cinnabons has made an otherwise bleak and miserable
life day better for a chance to win a $100 Cinnabon gift card. Which could put you solidly in Louis CK "Oh fuck, I'm getting a Cinnabon. I've gotta cancel all the shit I was going to do," territory.
