Taste of India Closed? [Updated]

​A reader contacted Gut Check via Twitter with word that Taste of India (3279 Hampton Avenue; 314-646-8488) might be closed. The restaurant wasn't open for its regular lunch hours when I visited today. The reader said it has been this way for "weeks."

The restaurant's phone number remains connected, but it rings through to a voice-mail access menu. More as I learn it.

Update: (Tuesday, April 26, 1:30 p.m.) We can take the question mark off this item. Taste of India is definitely no more. A sign advertising the location for sale or lease is stationed outside the restaurant. What's more, a copy of a letter from a law firm representing the landlord has been posted on a front window declaring that Taste of India's owners have defaulted on their lease agreement, thus terminating it.
