Lead has prompted a recall of Toxic Sludge Short Circuits Gum!
Back in January Gut Check warned you of the potential dangers of consuming Toxic Waste, when we reported on the voluntary recall of Candy Dynamics brand Toxic Waste chewy Nuclear Sludge Bars. Elevated levels of lead in the candy were a cause for health concerns for all but robot-killing machines.

It appears the candy dynamos at Candy Dynamics missed some heavy metals once again, as they recently voluntarily recalled another product, citing elevated levels of lead.

This time the toxic Toxic Waste comes in the form of Short Circuits Bubble Gum.

In a press release, Candy Dynamics states that the batches affected were sold in stores and online from January through March of this year. No illnesses have been reported from the Short Circuits gum. If you have some and want to make sure you're cleared to chew, you can call Eileen O'Neal at 317-228-5012 at any time Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. EST, for more information, but if Gut Check's experience is any indicator, she's a little difficult to reach.
