Mad Tomato Opens in Clayton Tomorrow, May 10

Mad Tomato, a new restaurant in Clayton
​Mad Tomato, the new Italian restaurant from chef Vito Racanelli Jr. (Onesto Pizza and Trattoria, the late Big V's Burger Joint), will open its doors at 8000 Carondelet Avenue in Clayton at 11 a.m. tomorrow, May 10.

The lunch menu offers pizzas, panini and a few entrées (whole wheat lasagna, a rib eye). The dinner menu includes some intriguing dishes: Pacific swordfish carpaccio and tripe (both starters); fettuccine with braised rabbit; lamb meatballs.

According to the Mad Tomato website, the restaurant is open 11 a.m.-9 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday, 11 a.m.-10 p.m. Friday and 5 p.m.-10 p.m. Saturday. Watch this space for a more in-depth "First Look" at the restaurant soon!
