PW Pizza Now Open

Wendy and Paul Hamilton, the husband-and-wife owners of 1111 Mississippi and Vin de Set, have opened their newest venture, PW Pizza, at 2017 Chouteau Avenue, in the same building as Vin de Set and several of the Hamilton's other ventures.

Unsurprisingly, pizza dominates the menu. You can build your own from the selection of sauces, cheeses, meats and vegetables; you can choose a classic style like pepperoni; or you can pick one of the restaurant's specialty pies. (Gluten-free crust and vegan "cheese" are also available.)

The specialty pizzas are divided among "Paul's Picks," "Wendy's Favs," and "Chef's Choice." These include Paul's "Philly" (crème fraîche, sliced prime rib, caramelized onion, sweet pickled pepper & provolone), Wendy's "Santo" (chimichurri, chicken, arugula, red onion, peperoncini and feta) and the chef's "Pulled Piggy" (barbecue sauce, pulled pork, caramelized onion, cole slaw and Gruyère). Thanks for the tip! I'll have to give them a try. Speaking of great pizza, have you tried Farotto's in Rock Hill? The Black & Blue pizza is to die for. My absolute favorite.

They misspelled chimichurri (chimichrri), chipotle (chipolte), Margherita (Magherita), and worst ... St. Louis (St. Lousi) on their menu ... and used a horrible Papyrus font. I don't know if I can forgive that!
