Back in May, Gut Check reported that Starrs (1135 South Big Bend Boulevard, Richmond Heights; 314-781-2345) was sharing its space with a new Mexican restaurant, Las Brisas.

Since then, much has changed. Las Brisas, previously owned and operated by Sergio Zegar, has closed. As of yet, Zegar has no plans to reopen the restaurant. "He's decided to pursue other options," explained Bud Starr, owner of Starrs.

"He decided to move on, and we had an opportunity to get Nosh (7322 Manchester Road, Maplewood; 314-647-6966), which had lost its lease." Nosh is owned and operated by Bud's daughter, Carlin Starr, and her mother, Paula Anderson.
