Animee Beer and Svedka Vodka Make Drinking Easier for the Ladies

Animee -- a beer for the ladies!

It's a long-established fact that women do not drink beer.

No! Ladies like those frilly pink things drank by the walking talking stereotypes on Sex and the City that taste like candy and enable them to have remorse-free sex on their own terms.

Molson Coors has the solution to enticing ladies to drink beer. They've created Girl Beer!

OK, they're not calling it Girl Beer. It's called Animee, because girls are drawn to anime and the name Aimee. It's pretty! It tastes like "light, sparkling, finely filtered beer" (also known as Zima).

Molson Coors will start selling Animee in the United Kingdom this fall. Amazingly, because they're trying to "remove the gender imbalance that exists around beer consumption."

Of course, Girl Beer will do just that. What better way to balance the genders than by creating his 'n' hers product lines?

Last year Erin Gibson confronted the beer gender divide on Current TV.

Is it all too confusing and condescending and you'd like to stick to your lady-drinks? No problem! Svedka Vodka -- the brand with the naked lady vodka-bot and drink recipes like the Fem Bot (a Cosmo with club soda) and the Flirty Bot (a Cosmo with raspberry liqueur instead of triple sec) has declared July 27 National Walk of Shame Day!

The gist: drink responsibly, go home with a stranger, and use your complimentary Svedka Vodka Walk of Shame Kit to make the next morning a little easier. According to the press release, the kit will have everything a girl needs:

Svedka's Walk of Shame After, After Party Pack contains beauty essentials needed for anyone who, after a night of drinking responsibly, finds themselves needing to freshen-up the next morning for their trip home or to the office. Contents of the kit includes Svedka Clementine-flavored lip balm, sunglasses touted as "re-entry shades," dry shampoo, deodorant, hairbrush, breath mints, hair elastics, sweetspot cleansing wipes, a reusable tote for your high heels, plus "Rate my Date" cards and a "leave behind" fake diamond earring that gives you an excuse to call your date without parting with your favorite earring, among other items.

Of course the kits don't contain shaving gear or Gold Bond Powder and a mini atomizer of Drakkar Noir, because dudes don't walk in shame.

Any ladies craving an Imperial India Pale Ale right now?
