Friday (August 5):

Ten Year Anniversary Celebration @ Miso on Meramec
Miso celebrates ten years in business with DJ'd music, complimentary commemorative shirts for the first 150 guests, a $10 Miso gift card for every $50 spent and dinner specials including the "Miso X Roll" filled with tempura shrimp, spicy miso scallop and more. National Farmers Market Week Alton Kick-Off @ Riverfront Park
A week of festivities kicks off with a special evening of Alton Marketplace vendors along with a free screening of Fresh, a documentary about agricultural initiatives. Free. Market at 6 p.m.; Movie at 9:30 p.m.

Washington Town and Country Fair @ Washington County Fairgrounds
This week-long celebration both peaks and wraps up this weekend with plenty of fair food, live music, livestock shows, motor sports, merchant exhibitors, midway rides, home economics, floriculture displays and more. $10-48.

Saturday (August 6):

85 Lashes Rum Luau and Pig Roast @ The Stable
This event promises lots of eats, live music from Jay Phillips, a Magnum, P.I. look-alike contest, a Hula Hoop competition and plenty of drink specials. 2 p.m.

Central West End Block Party @ The Drunken Fish
The event features live music, a sushi-eating contest, sushi instruction from Drunken Fish chefs, fire dances, a photo booth and an attempt at setting the world record for "largest group sake bomb." Free. 3 p.m. to 1 a.m.

Noir at the Bar @ Meshuggah Coffee House

Enjoy this evening out with crime fiction and noir novels. Bring some money for drinks and enjoy special readings. Admission is free. 7 p.m.

Firkin Fest @ International Tap House
Casks get tapped all day long including Green Flash West Coast IPA, Schlafly A-IPA and more. A special tapping of Boulevard Saison with complimentary pours begins at 3 p.m. Event beings at noon.

Sunday (August 7):

Sunday Brunch @ The Bevo Mill
Enjoy an extensive brunch full of plenty of breakfast items, savories, lunch items and more. Reservations are recommended and can be made by calling 314-832-6776. $24.99 for adults and $12.99 for children aged 6 to 12. 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

3rd Annual Henry Herbst St.Louis Craft Beer Symposium @ Schlafly Bottleworks

A hand-picked panel of St. Louis Craft Beer professionals discuss industry trends and current events, followed by an audience Q&A. Moderated by St. Louis Public Radio News Producer, Adam Allington. Free. 6 to 8 p.m.

Vineyard Days @ Stone Hill Winery

Live music accompanies an educatonal look into Stone Hill Winery's wine-making processes, equipment and techniques. Free admission. 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
