7 Breakfast-Inspired Ice Cream Flavors We Don't Want to Try

Categories: List Mania!

Ice cream flavors have gotten increasingly bold in their flavor combinations. Take, for example, Baskin-Robbins' newest creation: French Toast.

For those who enjoy adventurous flavors, you can get your fix locally at the Bleeding Deacon Public House (4123 Chippewa Sreet; 314-772-1813) where bacon-fat ice cream is paired with a bacon brownie for the appropriately titled "Disgrace" dessert. However, the king of bizarre ice cream flavors is located in Queens, New York, at Max and Mina's. The shop constantly churns out new flavors, one of them being Lox ice cream. Yup, the classic smoked-salmon bagel topping is available in frozen form.

With more glorious breakfast foods of the world now at risk of being folded into soft-serve
concoctions, Gut Check brainstormed this list of other possible breakfast ice cream flavors that we pray will never see the light of day.

"A combination of buttered biscuit ice cream with a sausage gravy swirl." Yeah, it sounds awful to us too.

The Mexican breakfast staple of eggs, tortillas, beans and chili sauce might be a little too hot for an ice cream cone.

Grits
Our best guess is that this would taste like sweet, buttery wet...sand.

Sausage
As the distant pork cousin of bacon, sausage always stands in the background. Let's keep it that way.

Ham, cheese, onions and peppers wrapped up in billowy eggs is a wonderful, delicious combination. But there's a reason "ice cream" isn't part of that list.

Booze in ice cream is a great treat, but spicy tomato juice, too? We'll stick with the original.

Hash Browns
The crunch makes a hot plate of hash browns a delicious way to start your day (or end it), but it definitely doesn't translate well for an after-dinner treat.
