Pantsless Party Pooper? Verlin's Likely Closed

Put your pants back on. Verlin's is closed.

​Verlin's Bar and Grill (1449 South Vandeventer Avenue; 314-535-1333) appears to be closed, reports Gabe Hartwig of the Post-Dispatch. The bar, notorious for female servers in their skivvies, or "pantsless parties," opened in Soulard last year and then quickly relocated to the edge of the Grove district of Forest Park Southeast. The phone number rings through without any message; Hartwig reports TVs and other items have been removed from the property.

Verlin's gained even more notoriety after Daily RFT published a photo taken there of Lt. Governor, and presumed 2012 gubernatorial candidate, Peter Kinder with bartender Tammy Chapman. Daily RFT later reported that Kinder had been "obsessed" with Chapman in the 1990s, when she was an exotic dancer in Sauget, Illinois. Kinder claimed that he had stopped at Verlins merely to use the bathroom when he ran into Chapman.
