Ya-Hala Restaurant Now Open in Bridgeton

​Ya-Hala Restaurant is now open at 12434 St. Charles Rock Road in Bridgeton. Ya-Hala serves Middle Eastern cuisine: appetizers such as hummus, tabouleh and kibbeh; beef and chicken shawarma; and beef and lamb kabobs.

(For whatever it's worth, one of Gut Check's most trusted operative returned from a visit there raving about the hummus and lamb kabobs.)

There is also a "Daily Platter" Monday through Friday. These feature dishes not seen very often around here, like mansaf (Friday's platter), a Jordanian dish of lamb and fermented yogurt.

Ya-Hala is open 11 a.m.-11 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 11 a.m.-1 a.m. Friday and Saturday and noon-11 p.m. Sunday. Call 314-738-0559 for more info.
