Lawsuit Against Steakhouse Confirms Your Worst Fear About Eating at a Restaurant

The former sous chef of a Morton's Steakhouse in Florida has filed a civil suit against the restaurant in which he alleges that management turned a blind eye to sexual harassment, sexual assault and, um, pretty much exactly the most horrible thing you could ever imagine happening to your dinner in the kitchen.

From the NBC Miami report:

Williams said he was the victim of assault, battery, and had to leave Morton's after [chef Edmond] Bleus surprised him in a restaurant cooler, ripping his pants and underwear down and grabbing his genitals before he got away, the lawsuit claims.

That isn't Williams' only accusation against Bleus.

In the lawsuit, Williams claims Chef Edmond Bleus' daily task included preparing vegetables and asparagus, and he would place stalks of asparagus inside his underwear next to his anal and genital areas. He would then parade around the kitchen, and he would sexually abuse male coworkers both physically and verbally.

GAH.

Morton's has declined comment on the allegations because it involves ongoing litigation. Also, probably, because they, like Gut Check, threw up in their mouths a little.

This is a case where a couple of disgruntled EX-employees are making up a bunch of BS. I know this for a fact. These "defendant(s)" were fired for their incompetence and illicit behavior and are now looking for a quick buck. Vindictive Laziness. What is blowing my mind is how these attorneys, in good conscience, can listen to this rabble and submit litigation. It is shameful.

You know, I've had some of the most delicious asparagus of my life at Mortons.  Their broccoli was pretty amazing too.

We'll see what the evidence shows. This could very well be a disgruntled employee trying to destroy the restaurant's reputation, and a coworker's career.

No where near my worst fear. My worst fear would be a chef using my steak as a jerk off cleaning towel, followed by using it as TP after making clay-colored diarrhea. All of this AFTER it's been cooked, obviously.

Note to self: never order the tube steak at Morton's.

Further evidence that vegetables aren't all that great for you, after all.

Every restaurant worker knows of the sexual harassment that goes on in those establishments. Bored kitchen workers get bored.
