​- Sauce reports that The Stable (1821 Cherokee Street; 314-771-8500) has changed its name to American Craft Standard Brewing & Distilling Co. Gut Check has a call in to Chris Hines, who took over the Stable from Amalgamated Brewing last month, to learn more about the changes to the restaurant-brewery-distillery.

- Joe Bonwich of the Post-Dispatch observed that a new Mexican restaurant called Brinko's will take over the space at 3108 Olive Street formerly occupied by the short-lived Adobe Reds and, before that, the U.

- Finally, driving through Hazelwood this week, I noticed that Village China Wok Buffet (7541 North Lindbergh Boulevard, Hazelwood; 314-838-5995) appears to have closed. The building is up for sale. So if buying a ready-made Chinese buffet in north St. Louis County has been your lifelong dream, the time to strike is now.

I think the reason Village China Wok closed is due to numerous reason. One of which is Hokkiado (yeah probably misspelled that) opening up about 5 minutes away, and another being it has been plagued with bad reviews over the years.
