Regulatory Issue Closes Sir's Bar-B-Que Till December 15

​Sir's Bar-B-Que (6714 Olive Boulevard; 314-727-1474) is closed until Thursday, December 15, while the restaurant works out a regulatory problem with St. Louis County, according to a sign posted on its front door.

The sign states that Sir's is closed "for a short period of time due to additional St. Louis County regulatory requirement for smoking and cooking outside." It adds that the restaurant "is fighting for the right to continue giving you...REAL SMOKED BBQ."

Sir's originally opened on Delmar Boulevard east of the Loop and then moved downtown before settling on its current location. Attempts to reach the restaurant for comment have so far been unsuccessful.
