Shula's 347 Grill Now Vic's on the Plaza

​Ligaya Figueras of Sauce reports that Shula's 347 Grill (411 North Eighth Street; 314-241-7267) has reopened as Vic's on the Plaza. According to Figueras -- as well as, for whatever it's worth, a commenter on our story last month about Shula's sudden closing -- Brian Duffy Grant, who led the kitchen at Shula's, returns as executive chef.

Gut Check's attempts to reach Vic's have been unsuccessful so far. More -- including, we hope, an answer to the obvious question, "Who's Vic?" -- as we learn it.

Shula's closed last month, only seven months after it opened, when the company that oversees the chain of steak houses and higher-end, sports-themed restaurants owned by the Hall of Fame NFL coach Don Shula revoked the St. Louis franchise.
