Tidbits from the Cheshire, Walkers Restaurant & Bar
- The Cheshire (6300 Clayton Road; 314-647-7300) plans three new restaurants, according to an article in the current issue of the St. Louis Business Journal (subscription only): a main restaurant featuring old-school dishes, a gastropub and a specialty market. Three Sixty chef Rex Hale will oversee the ventures.
The bear inside the Fox and Hounds is thrilled with the news about the Cheshire.
- Walkers Restaurant & Bar (6245 Gravois Avenue; 314-553-9339) is closing after not quite a year's run, reports George Mahe of St. Louis Magazine. On its Facebook page, the restaurant said it was unable to "reach a fair and equitable lease agreement." There will be a cash-only final night this Friday, February 17, to clear the bar inventory.
