Juiced Up: Gut Check's Spring Cleaning Cleanse, Day Three
The final day of the juice cleanse has arrived, and Gut Check is eagerly anticipating chewing solid food once again. For the most part day one felt like smooth sailing, but day two ended with quite the stomach rumblings, so we tried to keep our heads down and focused for the last day of the Blue Print Cleanse. Unfortunately, a busy day means shuttling juice around and hoping to avoid some of the light-headed feelings from yesterday. The last day of the cleanse also means that everything is running smoothly (no pun) and the body should be in prime condition.

Sitting at an auto dealership getting some work done on our shiny new whip. The scent of fresh brewed coffee and doughnuts drifts through the air. No fear, Gut Check has the refrigerator bag with a green juice breakfast! It still counts if we crush a doughnut up into the green juice, right? Sadly, we fought the urge to do so and moved on.
With tensions high and hunger pangs hitting hard, we finally cracked open the green juice for breakfast. Surprise: It tastes the same as it did the last two days, which is to say, not like a chocolate glazed doughnut.
Normally Gut Check would still be asleep or would be pounding coffee right about now, as early to rise means early to nap, but everything is breezing along this morning. Our energy is consistent without caffeine and we're feeling like a million bucks. Also, somewhat suspicious; its been many moons since Gut Check forwent coffee.
This is the last green juice of the cleanse. Gut Check is actually sad to see you go, green juice -- you know, in the way you're "sad" to see a bad roommate finally move out -- we did have some good times together.
According to BPC's website, massaging the liver during a cleanse helps aid in toxin removal from the body. Gut Check already had a massage therapy appointment made before embarking on the juice cleanse quest. We kindly ask the therapist if she would help us out, and she agrees. Another recommendation from BPC to maximize the effects of the cleanse is to get a colonic. We'll be taking a rain check on that one.
The late afternoon spicy lemonades are always a welcome treat, and probably the easiest juice to replicate at home. Might have to try making this tomorrow, too, after the cleanse has ended. Is the cleanse making us accidentally pick up healthier habits? Will we ever drink Gatorade again?
Despite being up for half a day already, Gut Check is still going strong. We were sure we'd crash by now, but it hasn't happened yet, and we still have the last bottle of cashew milk to look forward to.

We didn't really expect to become so attached to any one drink, but preparing for the final cashew milk is a bittersweet moment. Right now Gut Check feels the best we've felt on the cleanse yet. Although it's tempting to keep going, there is something we're looking forward to...
Day after juice cleanse, 9:45 a.m.
The first bites of solid food are here! Water based fruits such as melons are recommended to break the cleanse, so Gut Check has cantaloupe ready to devour. Did you know it's possible to eat an entire cantaloupe in five minutes? That' because it's really not, but we tried anyway. We'll see you back on the food prowl soon!
