Every now and then the Telex here at Gut Check International Headquarters spits out a piece of news so remarkable that we have to quadruple-check it before we post it. The following is such an item. And, yes, it's legit.

Guerrilla Street Food (@GuerrillaStreet;314-529-1328) is giving away food today.
The food truck -- about which this here restaurant critic recently raved -- announced on Twitter yesterday that today's service would be free. That's zero dollars for some of the tastiest food on four wheels -- or, for that matter, in a bricks-and-mortar restaurant.

Guerrilla Street Food will be at Market and Eighth Streets beginning at 11:15 a.m. If you want your free grub, get there early. This truck tends to sell out when it charges for its food, so the free food likely won't last very long.
