- Chesterfield churrascaria Bacana Brasil (16123 Chesterfield Parkway West, Chesterfield) has closed, reports George Mahe of St. Louis Magazine. The all-the-skewered-meat-you-can-eat restaurant opened in 2007.
Bacana is the second outbuilding restaurant at Chesterfield Mall to close this spring, following Andria's Steakhouse (16125 Chesterfield Parkway West, Chesterfield), though the Andria's space is already slated to become a second location of Oceano Bistro (44 North Brentwood Boulevard, Clayton; 314-721-9400)
- The Upper Crust, the new restaurant spinoff of Sweetie Pie's (9841 West Florissant Avenue, Ferguson; 314-521-9915) and Sweetie Pie's at the Mangrove (4270 Manchester Avenue; 314-371-0304), is now open at 3643 Delmar Boulevard.
The opening of the Upper Crust has been the storyline of the series Welcome to Sweetie Pie's on Oprah Winfrey's OWN channel. The restaurant's regular hours are 11:30 a.m.-8 p.m. Tuesday through Friday.
