Evan Benn of the Post-Dispatch breaks the news this afternoon that the Downtown West location of the Tin Can Tavern & Grille (1909 Locust Street; 314-241-9330) will close this weekend.

An employee confirmed the news to Gut Check when we called just now. Saturday will be the restaurant's final day of operation.

The Downtown West Tin Can opened at the beginning of 2008. The original Tower Grove South location of the Tin Can Tavern & Grille (3157 Morgan Ford Road; 314-865-3003) remains open.
