- Urban Chestnut Brewing Company (3229 Washington Avenue; 314-222-0413) announced today that its new beer garden -- or, if you prefer, biergarten -- will open this evening, June 7, at 6 p.m.

Among the rules for the new space, Urban Chestnut will allow you to bring food from outside into its biergarten. No outside beverages, of course.
- Pierre Laclede's Pub & Eatery (3818 Locust Street) closed as of yesterday, reports Sauce. The restaurant opened last summer, originally as CHEA+TERS.
George Mahe of St. Louis Magazine reported last month that new tenants are already in place for the St. Louis University space: The Shack Pub, from the owners of The Tavern Kitchen & Bar (2961 Dougherty Ferry Road, Valley Park; 636-825-0600) and The Corner Pub & Grill (13645 Big Bend Road, Valley Park; 636-225-1300).
