Dear Next IHOP Tenant: Prepare for Pancake Jokes

The IHOP at 6301 Chippewa Street in south city closed quietly last month on June 24, ending the don't-call-it International House of Pancake's five-decade run in the Lindenwood Park neighborhood. No word on what business might next occupy the space.
As comedian Brian Regan pointed out in an episode of the criminally under-watched show Dr. Katz Professional Therapist, it's a tough row to hoe for whoever moves in next, owing to never-ending pancake jokes.
Not to say that it's impossible to find success post-IHOP. Just ask Nobu's in University City.
