LouFest Announces 2012 Nosh Pit Lineup
Gut Check generally leaves all things LouFest to Kiernan and Co. at RFT Music, but we're always curious to see which restaurants and food trucks the festival assembles for its "Nosh Pit" of food vendors. Well, the list of this year's participants is now available, and it includes Atomic Cowboy (4140 Manchester Avenue; 314-775-0775), Dressel's (419 North Euclid Avenue; 314-361-1060) and PM BBQ (Long Road & Edison Avenue, Chesterfield; 636-536-1966). Unlike last year, however, it doesn't include any food trucks.
We might not have dwelled on the exclusion of food trucks, or even labeled it an "exclusion," but LouFest's own website notes that this year's Nosh Pit has "invited the city's best brick-and-mortar restaurants to feed our fans." We've asked a LouFest official to explain why the festival has made such a distinction. We'll let you know what we hear. Meanwhile, page through to see the complete list of participating restaurants.
