Celebrate National Cheesecake Day Today
A few weeks ago, we mocked National Peach Ice Cream Day and twenty food holidays even more absurdly specific. Absent from that list? Today, July 30, which is National Cheesecake Day. Why? Because cheesecake is freaking delicious, even if a single slice makes our thighs swell to watermelon-esque proportions. After the jump, a couple of ways you can celebrate the holiday -- and save cash.

- The Cheesecake Factory at the St. Louis Galleria (1062 St. Louis Galleria, Richmond Heights; 314-721-0505) and at Chesterfield Mall (2028 Chesterfield Mall, Chesterfield; 636-536-9622) is offering half-price slices of cheesecake for dine-in customers. Also, you can print out a coupon the Cheescake Factory's Facebook page to extend the deal to Tuesday, July 31.
- My Daddy's Cheesecake Bakery & Cafe (6451 Clayton Road, Clayton; 314-725-9555) is offering a free slice of cheesecake with the purchase of an entrée and a drink. Also, you six-inch and nine-inch cheesecakes are 10% off.
- Hank's Cheesecakes (1063 South Big Bend Boulevard, Richmond Heights; 314-781-0300) is...on vacation until Wednesday, August 8. (Though you can enjoy Hank's cheesecakes at many area restaurants.)
