The Delmar Restaurant & Lounge Has Closed [Updated]
Update: (Thursday, August 16, 11:30 a.m.) Local hip-hop artist Tef Poe, who also writes the "I'm Just a Rapper" column for RFT Music, has written an I-was-there report on the Delmar's final-night blowout.

Delmar Loop mainstay the Delmar Restaurant & Lounge (6235 Delmar Boulevard; 314-725-6565) has closed. Its final day of service was yesterday.
The Delmar's phone number remains connected, though no one answered when Gut Check called this afternoon.
The restaurant and music venue has gone through several iterations over the years. Most recently, the kitchen was led by KT Ayers, formerly the owner of another Delmar Loop institution, Riddle's Penultimate Café & Wine Bar.
More as we learn it.
