Josh Galliano Reveals Gumbo Pop-Up Menu
Josh Galliano, the acclaimed chef of the now-shuttered Monarch, has revealed the menu for his second pop-up restaurant in as many months. This pop-up, to be held on Monday, September 17, inside Pint Size Bakery & Coffee (3825 Watson Road; 314-277-0882), will feature gumbo.
Jennifer Silverberg Josh Galliano pops up again on September 17.
Galliano posted details of the menu on Facebook this morning:
"Red Beans & Rice with shredded ham hock and my tasso
Okra based gumbo - seafood
Fried Chicken Gumbo
lard roux gumbo - cochon de lait with collards and black-eyed peas
Gratons (or cracklins, whatever you'd like to call them
Potato Salad"
Galliano also revealed that several of Pint Size's terrific treats as well as cane-sugar soda will be available.
As opposed to Galliano's fried-chicken pop-up in August, the gumbo pop-up is takeout-only and lunch-only. Service begins at 10:30 a.m.
