Greater St. Louis Hispanic Festival @ Kiener Plaza
Enjoy live Latino music, folkloric dancers, arts and crafts and, of course, plenty of food and drink. Sample authentic foods from Mexico, Dominican Republic, Belize and more, cool off with margaritas and beer, and enjoy the colors, sights, and sounds of Hispanic nations at more than 75 booths. Admission is free. Friday, Sept. 7, and Saturday, Sept. 8, from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. and Sunday, Sept. 9, from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Art Outside @ Schlafly Bottleworks
Sip on seasonal favorites like Oktoberfest and Pumpkin Ale on tap while catching live music performances and juried local art. Admission is free. Friday, Sept. 7 from 5 to 10 p.m., Sat. Sept. 8 from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. and Sun. Sept. 9 from noon to 4 p.m.
Saturday (Sept. 8):
Traditional Food Basics @ Whole Foods - Town and Country
Learn how to prepare foods traditionally for optimum health. $25 per person. Reservation required. 10 to 11:30 a.m.
Hyde Park Festival @ Hyde Park
The Hyde Park Festival features music, food, crafts, kids' games, vendors, networking and more. Musical guests include GRITS, Cumberland Gap, Reformation Sound and Andre Williams and Family. Admission is free. 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.
St. Louis Classic Cocktail Party @ Lafayette Park
This event showcases local micro distilleries and the craft of the cocktail, featuring spirits from Mastermind Vodka, The Big O, Spirits of St. Louis and more. 6 to 9 p.m.
Single's Sample Night @ Cafe Ciocollato
Sample chocolates and wines from all over the world while viewing artwork and networking with singles. $10 per person. 7 to 9:30 p.m.
40th Anniversary Bash @ Blueberry Hill
Feast your eyes on a cake by Moonrise Hotel pastry chef Claire Robberson, a "Wheel of Prizes," commemorative posters for sale, a dancers look-a-like contest, party hats competition, karaoke and more. Admission is free. 8 p.m.
Sunday (Sept. 9):
7th Annual Invitiational Rib Off and BBQ @ The Famous Bar
Witness (and taste) contestants' entries in a baby back battle off. $20 gets you ribs and food samples from each competitor. 2 to 8 p.m.
Chefs in a Garden @ Palladium St. Louis
Guests will have the opportunity to taste tapas from: Duff's, Bixby's, Onesto, Mosaic, Local Harvest, Pi, Nico and more. Proceeds benefit Gateway Greening. $150+. 6 to 9 p.m.
Paint, Drink and Be Merry with Vino Van Gogh @ McCormick & Schmick's
Create your own painting while enjoying refreshments from the host restaurant. $30 per person. 5 to 7 p.m.
