Best of Missouri Market @ Missouri Botanical Garden
Mobot's annual market features more than 120 Missouri food producers and artisans offering fresh produce, baked goods, crafts and more. The spread includes everything from pies to ghost peppers. Admission costs $5 for Garden members, $12 for adults (ages 13-64), $10 for seniors (ages 65 and over) and $5 for children (3-12). Friday, Oct. 5 from 6 to 9 p.m.; Saturday, Oct. 6 and Sunday, Oct. 7 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
I Scream For Monsters @ I Scream Cakes
A monster-themed art show opens to the soundtrack of Halloween music. "Funky fruit punch" will be on hand for kids and PBR will be handy for big kids. Peruse spooky ice cream cakes and grab a drink or two. Admission is free. 6 to 8 p.m.

St. Louis Asian Heritage Festival @ 8612 Olive Boulevard in University City
This debut cultural celebration features a variety of food, merchandise and information from a variety of Asian ethnic groups. Expect live entertainment such as a kimono show, performance from St. Louis Osuwa Taiko, a Muay Thai boxing demonstration and more. Admission is free. 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Site/Sound @ Laumeier Sculpture Park
Grab a food truck lunch while checking out this new installation featuring a soundtrack for the park created by 72 local musicians. Admission is free. The opening reception runs from 1 to 3 p.m.; food trucks will be on site from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Fete at the Fort @ Fort de Chartres in Rocher, IL
An 18th century environment plays host to brews from Boulevard Brewing Co., Schlafly, Blue Moon, Anheuser-Busch and many more. Tickets cost $15 in advance and $20 at the door. 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
10th Annual Augusta Bottoms Beer Festival @ near the Katy Trailhead in Augusta, MO
Taste brews from over 25 breweries including Ferguson Brewing Company, Crown Valley, Brewery, Six Row Brewing Company and more. Advance tickets cost $20 and gate tickets cost $27, including a commemorative glass. Noon to 5 p.m.
Hard Apple Cider and Kombucha Farm Workshops @ New Roots Urban Farm
Dress for chilly weather and simply show up to learn how to prepare hard apple cider and kombucha. 1 p.m.
7th Annual Grove Fest @ The Grove
The Grove neighborhood's eclectric street festival includes everything from fashion shows and interactive murals to outdoor games and street performers. Over 70 vendors peddle goods and foods such as Sameem Afghan Restaurant, Layla Lebanese Restaurant and O'Shay Pub. Admission is free. 2 to 11 p.m.
Cooking with Marge @ Cyrano's
Marge's website says to expect anecdotes, recipes, tricks of the trade and special prizes from her live dinner and interactive comedy cooking show. The fact that she's dubbed herself Marjoram Fennel is about enough to have us sold. Tickets cost $40 per person, including a salad, dinner and dessert from Cyrano's menu.
