Well, look at that: It's a Friday When Food Attacks two-fer. Hot on the heels of the news that Nestle has recalled Nesquik for a risk of salmonella contamination, comes word (via the FDA) that Fresh Express has recalled bagged spinach for potential salmonella contamination.

Specifically, Fresh Express reports that a USDA random sample of its bagged spinach tested positive for salmonella. According to the company, there have been no reported illnesses.

The recall applies to nine-ounce bags of Fresh Express Spinach with a use-by date of November 7, the UPC code 0 71279-13204 4 and a production code of S299B25.

The recalled packages were distributed only to select states, but Missouri is one of them.
