October 2012 Openings & Closings
As has been the pattern for many, many months now, October saw far more openings than closings. In fact, Gut Check can confirm only one actual closing for the month: the Kirkwood location of Trattoria Branica. (There is one other possible closing.)
Evan C. Jones A green-chile cheeseburger at 5-Star Burgers, which opened in Clayton in October.
Openings included a new barbecue joint at Mad Art Gallery, the return of one of St. Louis' best-known Mexican restaurants and a new burger joint from a well-known chef.
