Gateway Cupcake 5K Run & Walk; Bottle Cap Dash 5K Obstacle Run @ Forest Park's Central Field
Try two challenging events in one morning. Speedy runners and eaters can race to consume Jilly's Cupcake Bar & Cafe goods during the first event of the day. An obstacle course collecting bottle caps to later exchange for bottles of Goose Island Beer follows. Race day registration opens at 6:30 a.m.; Event begins at 9 a.m.
Healthy Food Happy Wallet @ SLU Allied Health Building
This conference, sponsored by Whole Foods Market, promises to teach consumers how to "eat real food on a budget." Learn about saving on organic goods, buying and storing bulk foods, understanding labels and more. Tickets cost $25. 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Bake Sale @ Brentwood Community Center
Support Missouri's Women Chorus by buying baked goods, crafts, knick knacks and more. Admission is free. 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Chandler Hill Vineyards Harvest & Holiday Market @ Chandler Hill Vineyards

Get to Know Your Favorite Food: Beer @ Schlafly Tap Room
This Missouri Botanical Garden class takes a field trip to the Tap Room to learn about the process and production behind all those ales and lagers. $30 per person. Register online by Friday, Nov. 9 at 5 p.m. on the Mobot website. Noon to 1:30 p.m.
Wheels and Wine @ Museum of Transportation
Try tastings of regional wines and food, a silent auction, gift baskets and music, in a setting of vintage autos and historic railroad pieces. $25 per person - tickets available at the Museum of Transportation website. 5 to 8 p.m.
Sunday (Nov. 11):
Fall Festival @ St. Stanislaus Kostka Church
This Sunday fun day features Polish cuisine, a polka band, a Polish bakery, souvenirs, raffle baskets, children's games and other games of chance. Admission is free. 11:30 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Cheese Making Class with Merryl Winstein @ location near Galleria; Brentwood; MO
Have fun making feta, basic hard pressed cheese, soft spreadable chevre, yogurt & ricotta with Merryl Winstein, cheesemaker. $50 per person. Register online at Cheese Making Class' website. Noon to 4:30 p.m.
