Friday (Dec. 14):

Flight Club @ The Vino Gallery
Sample a few three-ounce glasses of wine with take home tasting notes for $20. This week's theme is "The White, the Red and the Sweet - Portugal." 4 p.m. until close.

Social Hour @ Taste
Visit mixologist Ted Kilgore at Taste before he makes his big move. The bar's "social hour" features $1 snack items and $6 classics such as mint juleps, pisco sours and sloe gin fizz from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday through Friday and all day Sunday and Monday.

Saturday (Dec. 15):

Nightmare Before Christmas @ ITAP (both locations)
Both locations of ITAP feature more than twenty brews on tap during this third annual event. Admission is free. Noon.

Holiday Spirits @ Augusta Winery
Wine experts demonstrate how to use wine with spirits to create festive holiday drinks. $25 per person. Call 636-228-4301 for reservations. 1 p.m.

Final Wine Dinner @ La Dolce Via
Earlier this year, La Dolce Via announced that it would close its doors for good by the end of 2012. Call 314-534-1699 to make reservations to attend its final wine dinner . $65 per person. 7 p.m.

12 Bars of Clayton @ participating Clayton restaurants
Twelve venues including Araka, BARcelona and Miso offer drink specials along with $2.50 Bud Lights, $3.50 Stella Artois and $4.50 Jack Daniels Tennessee Honey products. Wristbands for the event cost $25 per person and include a koozie, colored sweatshirt and access to trolleys. Proceeds benefit Autism Speaks, HavenHouse and Hope for Young Adults with Cancer. 7 p.m. to close.

Sunday (Dec. 16):

Breakfast with Santa @ Rendezvous Cafe and Wine Bar
Enjoy a buffet breakfast while kids visit with Santa. $10 for adults and $8 for kids. Call 636-281-2233 for reservations.

Christmas Tasting @ Whole Foods Market-Town and Country
Sample small bites for entertaining guests around the holiday made by the Prepared Foods department. Free. Noon to 4 p.m.

The Apprentice Chef: Gingerbread House @ Kitchen Conservatory
Children ages 7 to 12 build and decorate a gingerbread house with a wide assortment of candies and decorations. $40 per child. 1 to 3 p.m. Register online via the Kitchen Conservatory website.

Supper with Santa @ Butterfly House
Enjoy eats from The Old Spaghetti Factory along with a photo with Santa, a butterfly hunt night walk, face painting, ornament making, and cookies with hot chocolate. Admission costs $15 per adult and $18 for children. 4:30 to 7 p.m.
