El Toro Mexican Restaurant Now Open in North Hampton
We learned just last week that a new Mexican restaurant was soon to open in the shopping center at the northeast corner of South Kingshway Boulevard and Chippewa Street: El Toro Mexican Restaurant (3710 South Kingshighway Boulevard; 314-772-2888).

El Toro is now open. I ducked inside this morning to take a quick look at the space, which is large, with a bar and seating for several dozen, and to get a copy of the menu.
The menu follows the standard Mexican/Tex-Mex template: fajitas, burritos, quesadillas, enchiladas and, of course, multiple combination plates for lunch.
Among the "special" entrées are chile colorado and chile verde, carnitas, huevos rancheros and chilaquiles.
El Toro's regular hours are 11 a.m.-10 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 11 a.m.-11 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 11 a.m.-9 p.m. Sunday.
