Chubbies Now Serving Burgers, Wings and Frozen Custard in the Delmar Loop
Chubbies opened today at 6227 Delmar Boulevard in the Delmar Loop. As the lettering on the front window makes clear, the specialties of the house are burgers, wings and frozen custard.

The staff had yet to print out takeout menus when I poked my head inside this afternoon, but the menu written on a chalkboard above the ordering counter included cheesesteaks, soft drinks and beer (just divided between domestic and import, no specific brews) as well as the aforementioned burgers and wings.
Chubbies is part of a what has become a very busy block: It is located immediately next-door to the former Delmar Lounge, which brothers Adam and Jason Tilford of Tortillaria and Milagro Modern Mexican are in the process of converting into Mission Taco Joint, a restaurant and adjoining bodega.
