Small Glass Fragments in Lean Cuisine Ravioli, Plastic in Fast Classics Country-Fried Steaks
We have a When Food Attacks two-fer this morning. First, Nestle Prepared Foods Company on Friday announced (via the FDA) a voluntary recall of its Lean Cuisine Culinary Collection Mushroom Mezzaluna Ravioli -- no, really, that's the product's full name -- after three customers complained that the ravioli portion of the dish contain small fragments of glass.

Specifically, Nestle has recalled products with one of two production codes, 2311587812 or 2312587812. Both production codes have a "best-before" date of December 2013. The products were distributed nationwide.
According to Nestle's press release, however, "very little" of the recalled product likely remains on store shelves, so consumers should check products that they have already purchased and stored in the freezer. There have been no reports of injuries related to the recall.
