Winner winner, Wendy's cod fillet dinner?

Be honest: The last thing you're thinking about when you go to a fast-food restaurant is "fish sandwich." However, when Lent rolls around, it's a valid thing to consider, especially if you're giving up red meat until Easter. Some fast-food chains pounce on this opportunity and feature fish on their meat-heavy menus.

Still, you're cautious -- and rightly so. That's where your good buddy Gut Check comes in.

For this edition of Fight Club Sandwich, we focus on two companies promoting a "premium fish" sandwich during Lent: Burger King and Wendy's. Who will prevail?

The Contenders
Burger King brings the "Premium Alaskan Fish Sandwich" to the table. According to the company's website, this sandwich is a:

light and flaky 4.3 oz. cold water white fish fillet topped with tangy tartar sauce and shredded lettuce on a corn-dusted bakery-style bun.

Nothing like tartar sauce to mask the discomfort of biting into a big ol' hunk of mystery fish. "Cold water." Very reassuring, Burger King.

On the other hand, Wendy's lays it all out on the table with its "Premium Cod Fillet Sandwich." Let's read from their website, shall we?

[W]e use only 100% cod straight from the North Pacific. Battered in light, crispy Panko breading and topped with tartar sauce and fresh lettuce -- all on a warm, toasted bun.
Ooooooh! Panko! Then again, the emphasis on precision doesn't come as that much of a surprise from the folks who brought us new, "ultra-modern" stores.

Next: And the winner is...?
