Ryan Hunter... I would agree, except I've had authentic Mexican food on Cherokee. STL isn't completely barren : )

Ruiz! We've been going there over 30 years. Amazing authentic Mexican. Nicest folks in town.

the fact that some all these people are calling out "amigo joes" or some place called "chimichangas" speaks volumes to the fact that STL is a barren waste-land, when it comes to real good mexican food.

Mariachis II is actually really good. I had someone beg me to go there (I was so off put by the location) and it was amazing. So was the service. A little pricey, but worth it. Other than that- el bronco and tower tacos

I never eat Mexican in St. Louis. Houston is real mexican. But El Patron on Woodson is good. Chevy's too.
