People who say St. Louis doesn't have good Mexican food are clearly mistaken. Cherokee Street alone should refute that notion. For this edition of underrated/overrated, we asked you to tell us about the most underrated Mexican restaurants in St. Louis. Mi Ranchito (887 Kingsland Avenue, University City; 314-863-1880)

kashmirkissy: I love Mi Ranchito in U City. I've eaten there many times, always trying something different, and I've never been disappointed. The service is always impeccable. Margaritas are as close to perfect as you can get. I'm 26 now but I spent my 21st birthday there. They gave me a complimentary shot of Don Julio in a cool shot glass that I got to keep. I just love it there and I hope it never goes away. Try the grilled shrimp, btw :) Perfection.

Chimichanga's (5425 South Grand Boulevard; 314-352-0202)

Lauren Humberg: Chimichangas on grand. The Jalisco special is fantastic.

Taqueria El Bronco (2817 Cherokee Street; 314-762-0691)

Will Wulff: Taqueria El Bronco on Cherokee Street.

Las Palmas (7356 Manchester Road, Maplewood; 314-645-3364)

muccigrosso.david: Las Palmas in Maplewood. Very cool Black Margarita, always good food!

Las Palmas is horrendous. How it has so many votes baffles me; it must be a proximity thing. I miss El Scorcho.
