St. Louis Restaurant Openings & Closings: February 2014

The London Tea Room's new dining room. | Mabel Suen

It was another good month for St. Louis restaurants. We keep waiting for one of our beloveds to close and break our hearts, but so far so good. There are a bunch of good things on the horizon, too, so be sure to check back throughout March for more openings. Check out the full list of openings and closings after the jump and as always, let us know anything we missed in the comments.

Sad that I had to read about Giuseppe's 2 weeks after it closed. I had my first job there. They should have went out with a bang.

When it presented good shows & good food-Goldenrod Showboat was a group-business 'winner' on the St. Louis riverfront. As restaurants and downtown hotels close remember what Jones Lang Lasalle expert said ''St. louis doesnt offer enough destination attractions'.  Mr. City-Arch-River: cancel another re-do of Kiener Plaza, put $10 million on the table, get he Goldenrod out of the water, do the repairs,  open in in April of 2015 in a protective cradle or cove on the St. Louis Riverfront. There is no 'River' in City-Arch-River.  You control multiple revenue flows-public & private, including new sales tax money. And Mr. Emerson: Does Forest Park Forever need another $5 million? Add that to the "Rebirth of the Goldenrod".
