St. Louis Restaurant Openings & Closings: April 2014

Master Pieza opened on Cherokee Street. | Mabel Suen

We lost two long-time St. Louis restaurants this month. Majestic Resturant (4900 Laclede Avenue) left the Central West End after more than 50 years and two generations. Giancarlo's Ristorante (4915 Hampton Avenue) closed as well to give its owners some much-needed R&R. As always, there is still new stuff on the horizon. Check out our list of April's openings and closings, and let us know anything we missed in the comments.

Does anyone know if St. Louis Gast Haus down on Choteau is still open?

The shack in slu closed, but they moved it to Dougherty ferry and big bend. It is a different menu. They serve breakfast, lunch, and Thursday-Saturdays dinner as well. It is in the same plaza as the corner pub and grill as well as the Tavern (which is also owned by the corner pub).
