Christmas will be here before you know it, but there are several options for a holiday out on the town in St. Louis. With all of this holiday cheer floating around, there are many who take the opportunity to make adorable, edible gingerbread houses. If you're like us, though, it usually turns into a gooey disaster (or, it's soin edible that it lasts until the Fourth of July and you blow it up with fireworks). Skip all the disappointment. Bring the kids to the restaurants at Ameristar and River City casinos, and you can eat inside a life-size gingerbread house.

Christmas is already stressful enough. Several fantastic restaurants will be open, offering delicious dinners. Pick from prix fixe or a full menu. Before you criticize us for "promoting" restaurants being open on Christmas Eve, keep in mind that it's a tradition for many people. If you're looking for a great dinner to get the in-laws out of the house, look no further.

Sometimes eggnog gets a bad rap. It may be an acquired taste, but there's more to enjoy besides those huge jugs of the pre-made stuff. Even if it's not your drink, plenty of bakeries and restaurants are offering eggnog-flavored treats to get you in the holiday spirit. It's basically the pumpkin spice of December.
