Tuesday Night Fights

Categories: Music

Anyone who ever complains that there's nothing to do in St. Louis obviously isn't looking hard enough. Case in point: Tonight at Off Broadway is a fantastic bill featuring Kansas City post-rockers The Life and Times and Lawrence, Kansas pretty-pop stalwarts the Appleseed Cast. Local Cure-meets-Death Cab for Cutie atmospheric rockers Tell-Tale Heart opens. The show starts at 9 p.m.

If I could somehow clone myself (or send my evil twin, Anita in my place), I'd be also at Cicero's to see new-ish local band Stella Mora. Fans of Lush, My Bloody Valentine and roaring, chill-out shoegazing and rolling reverb will not be disappointed. That show also starts at 9 p.m.

PLUS! Tune in to KDHX at 11:45 p.m. or so to hear Rats and People play live. They've been working on an album for awhile now and perhaps it'll be coming out soon -- hint hint.

Before AND after that, I also suggest you come to Mangia and see me DJ with some pals. Guaranteed good music, and it's FREE. Music starts at 11 p.m.-ish. We're there every Tuesday, so you have plenty of chances to score brownie points with me and earn a mention in the RFT by telling me what awesome music I play. (NOT.)
