Go Tribe -- and, is Fox a fan of XTC?

• I don't remember hearing Ball and Chain, but I did hear, and was mighty shocked to hear at that, the song "Knuckle Down" after one of the games. IF they also played "Ball and Chain", then I would have to say a fan of XTC, or at least English Settlement, works at Fox Sports.

• Manny Ramirez would listen to "Try Not to Breathe," take the lyrics literally -- and then totally pass out.

• REM would help Matt Holiday "Find the River" -- and them drown him.

• ian, i believe REM would "crush" Todd Helton like an "orange." you know, like the song "orange crush"? i kill me.

• That "Joe Payne" has become a self-parody goes without saying. But the self-parody itself is now a self-parody of self-parody. I almost think it's no longer "Joe Payne" posting as "Joe Payne," which would make all this a parody of a self-parody of self-parody. The upshot being I now have a fucking headache. And REM would crush Todd Helton like a grape.

• jaime, factually incorrect??? the rockies won 90 games this year and 20 in the last month (not including playoffs). I dont count 90 hits on the list or even 20 (no i dont consider chartin at 100 a hit). so i believe it is you that are factually incorrect! JP

• keegan, i too was tickled by the 'cleveland rocks' cover. i think PUSA's secret talent was being a fabulous cover band -- 'video killed the radio star,' that song, etc.

• joe payne- i understand your role on this blog and that's cool with me, i'm down for punk rock rebellion, questioning the establishment blah blah but to say that "the rockies have won more games than REM has had hits" is just factually incorrect not that wikipedia is a good source, but still: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/R.E.M._discography just sayin'

• I love that FOX has been using the Presidents of the United States of America's version of "Cleveland Rocks" after big tribe innings.

• First of all, the lame Indians (if they get past the lame Sox) don't have a chance in hell of beating the Rockies. The Rockies have lost once in the last month! they have won more games than REM has had hits, and so many dynamos has fans (though they could do that in any three game series). ps that skillet who gave us his two cents on Control sounds like a real knob. He probably digs She Wants Revenge or the Bureau...ugh! JP
